"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16
Salvation is the foundational truth of the Christian faith. It is God's gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Understanding salvation involves recognizing the need for a Savior, believing in Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection, and accepting Him as Lord. This helps grasp the depth of God's love and the assurance of eternal life through faith in Jesus.
"So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." James 2:17
True faith is demonstrated through actions. Living out faith in practical ways emphasizes that belief in Jesus should transform how one life, interacts with others and makes decisions. This includes the importance of integrity, service, and being a light in the community.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made know to God." Philippians 4:6
Prayer is a vital part of a Christian's life, offering a direct line of communication with God. Exploring different types of prayer, including adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication, encourages the development of a consistent prayer life and trust in God's sovereignty.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" 2 Tim 3:16-17
The Bible is God's revealed word and a guide for life. Emphasizing the importance of regular Bible study and application of Scripture shows how the Bible is relevant to daily life and provides wisdom, guidance, and encouragement for living.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
The Holy Spirit is an integral part of the Christian faith, dwelling within believers and empowering them for godly living. Understanding the work of the Holy Spirit in guiding, convicting, and equipping believers, as well as producing the fruit of the Spirit in their lives, is crucial for spiritual growth.
"But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15
In an increasingly skeptical world, it is important to articulate and defend the Christian faith. Introducing the basics of Christian apologetics, including understanding and responding to common objections to Christianity, and how to share faith respectfully and confidently, equips believers to stand firm in their beliefs.
